Bio

Bethan Ackerley has been a subeditor at New Scientist since 2019. She writes a monthly column about TV covering sci-fi, drama and documentaries and has also been published in Empire magazine. Bethan was a finalist at the 2022 Association of British Science Writers Awards for her work on New Scientist’s Escape Pod podcast. She has a master’s degree in international journalism from City, University of London.
