Bio

David Cox is a freelance science writer focusing on all aspects of health, from fitness and nutrition to infectious diseases. He has also written for the BBC, Wired and most UK national newspapers, including The Guardian and The Telegraph. Prior to becoming a full-time journalist, he was a neuroscientist attempting to understand how and why the brain goes wrong. For his PhD, he spent four years at the University of Cambridge studying how the brain's immune cells contribute to schizophrenia.
